Essential Instructional Practices in Early Literacy K-3

Michigan essential practices

Comprehensive training and ongoing support for implementing Essential Instructional Practices in Early Elementary education, ensuring effective teaching and student success from kindergarten through third grade.

Through my work at the state level as a 35a coach in Livingston county, I have been trained to support any and all work around the Essential Instructional Practices in Early Literacy: Grades K-3.

Kate is revolutionary!

I have a deeper understanding of Essential 1 and how it relates to instruction in my classroom. My job is just not to teach kids how to read or write but foster a lifelong love for reading and writing. These essentials are going to guide us to do just that.

I have a better understanding of the areas that I need to be more diligent in to make sure I’m using research-based ideas.

I have learned how to back up things I currently do (or have gotten away from) with the Essential bullets. It is helpful to share with others and collaborate.

I have discovered ways to incorporate the literacy essentials with meaning and efficiency.
